Setting up your Stripe account

After entering your email and password to Stripe, you will be shown this screen. To set up two-step authentication, click ‘Use your phone’, which is under the ‘Next’ button.

Enter your mobile number. 

You will then receive a text message with a verification code.

Enter the verification code to confirm your login.

Under ‘Business Location’ select ‘United Kingdom’.

Under ‘Type of Business’

• Select ‘Individual/Sole Trader’ if you are NOT VAT registered or have a fleet.
• Select ‘Company’ if you ARE VAT registered or have a fleet.

Enter the following details:

• Full, legal name
• Email address
• Date of birth
• First line of your home address
• City or town
• Post code
• Phone number

Enter the following details:

• VAT number (optional)
• Your business website – You can enter staging.website.staging.website.deliveryapp.com if you don’t have one
• Product description – enter a short descrip of your services e.g. ‘I am a delivery driver’

Your earnings will be sent to the account you enter here.

Enter the following:

• Country of bank account
• Sort code
• Account number
• Confirm your account number

This information will show on your bank statement.

Enter the following details:

• Statement description – enter staging.website.staging.website.deliveryapp.com
• Customer support phone number – enter your mobile number

This section is optional. 

If you do not wish to contribute some of your earnings to Stripe Climate, select ‘No thanks’.

Once you are happy all your information is correct, click ‘Agree and Submit’.

Your Stripe account is now set up.
